Simple things keep me amused.
It was graduation yesterday. It's always nice to see the parents standing around unsure of what to say. I spent a fair proportion of the time looking after one of the academic's granddaughter.
Afterwards we had a leaving do for one of the senior professors (and my ex-boss). They all wandered off to a chinese restaurant and I wandered off to run brownies. Which was fun. We had the "brownie olymics" which consisted of the activities from the "Agility Badge" plus playing "Sevens" with a ball. I'm not sure if this reflects what children do nowadys but none of them seem to have played Sevens before (you have to throw the ball against a wall and catch it seven times, then do it under your leg six, etc. until you have to throw it, spin round and clap your hands before you catch it once) and it absolutely captivated them for ages.
Kids. You just never know with them.
