Good morning.
There appears to be only 12 days until Christmas. Where on earth did the year go?
I enjoyed The Incredibles but not as much as I was expecting too... this may have been due, in part, to the temperature(cold) in the cinema and the fact the film was delayed by half an hour. I didn't complain and get my money back but now I wish I had. It was nice to have spent some time with
sand_l because I haven't seen her nearly enough this year. Plus with both Caroline and my parents away this weekend I wouldn't have had any social contact at all!
I did a lot of household stuff this weekend but failed again to make mince-pies. Perhaps tonight (although I'll be making my stew so perhaps not).
A strange week this week. I'm still on Tibby watch until Wednesday - this is the first time I've been the person left with the temporarily abandoned cat and I'm feeling really sorry for her. I'll try and spend more time with her tonight than I did yesterday.
Now. She blogs, she bolgs...

Congratulations to Kelly Holmes on winning BBC Sports personality of the year. A real sense that the best woman won this year.

Where you shop can have an impact on your health. Waitrose top and Morrisons bottom, who'd have thought? Actually the report is about in-store approaches to healthy eating and is more interesting than you may think.
Business
Jarvis seem to be in a little bit of financial trouble and losing PFI contracts. This is no surprise to regular readers of Private Eye but I wonder what support there is for the schools and hospitals when their builder goes bust?
Save your stamps!. Or at least those handy pack ones with first class written on them rather than a price. A 2p increase is due come April. I'm hoping this shows the post office getting ahead of the game rather than trying to catch up.
British Gas have lost 1 million customers in the past year. It's nice to know that I wasn't the only one sick of them.
