Where did that spot come from? Eh? EH?

Works christmas lunch today which means I have to get ready now and then get the bus in. The weather is absolutely lousy with a blustery wind and rain which means my airforce blue peep-toe heels are totally inappropriate footwear. If I take them with me in a bag I can see how I feel later.

I have to dig out various going out things like my kitty purse and some eye make-up.

Note to self: next time you decide to clear out your make-up bag buy replacements for things.

I will probably we spouting nonsense for you entertainment by, oooh, 7 pm.

Ah. That was it.

I knew there was something I forgot to say earlier. The house at the back of mine and *counts* two across was on fire Early Wednesday morning. Not only did I manage to sleep through the fire engines etc. I discovered it was described in the Bootle Times as "derelict".

Now I know that it was empty as the tenants in there had moved out a month or so ago [1] but I wouldn't have described it as derelict even though the dogs had ripped the back door open. I suppose it's politically expedient for us to become a slum now. It'll certainly be cheaper.


EDIT: For balance I should put in this report from the Liverpool Echo on the start of the regeneration in my area work starts on Secrets site. I'm not in the right phase for these flats so I won't be moving any time soon. They're for the over 55's anyway.

It's horribly inaccurate. Dozens of properties is actually 800. Only street is being refurbished. Yadda yadda yadda.
