Just been here The Organic Gardening Catalogue and bought some rye seed and a couple of quick guides to green manure and comfrey. I'm going to try and sow the rye over where I'm planning to plant my potatoes next year - it's a bit late but I'm hoping the mild weather will be forgiving. Next year I'm thinking of planting comfrey under my established trees - for the fertilizer and to try and see off some of my grassy weeds.
I've also got to do something about the jerusalem artichoke. I'll have to cut it back and stake it but I'd also like to reduce it's spread. So far I've not been successful.
( What about my fruit? )
