I sat up until 12.15 last night but with no sign of North West declaring I went to bed.

Looking at the results this morning I'm quite proud of my little region. The Lib Dems doubled their representation from 1 to 2, UKIP gained a representative but didn't achieve the huge votes they got in other parts of the country and Labour, while losing 7% of their vote, took over from the Conservatives as having the highest percentage of the vote in the region.
Why UKIP doesn't scare me. Really. )

Football. France played better. They really did. Deal with it.

In other, non Euro news, my niece (3 in October) managed to get her hands on a bottle of Calpol Saturday evening. She's home after a stay in hospital and blood tests. They estimate she took the equivalent of 2 1/2 pills so I think we were really lucky.
Some other stuff I did )

For hours.

You know who are the least forgiving of the mistakes made by volunteers? Other volunteers.

I did get to drive Dad's Focus to the meeting which gave me a chance to experience power steering. It took a lot of getting used to... I'm not sure that I like it.

Weird coincidence of the day: Picking up the remote from on top of Murakami's Norwegian Wood, using it to turn to R2 on digital, and finding the Beatles song of the same name playing.
