I have eaten my first allotment produce. I've just had some sugar rhubarb crumble.

Rhubarb - I'll have to learn to like it.

Cooked rhubarb makes an excellent accompaniment to oily fish like mackeral.

You beat me to it! yes, think of it as a tart condiment, and you can cut down on the sugar you need with it then as well.

I think I put a little too much sugar in: I need to half it in the crumble part if I want to add it to the rhubarb.

I've not eaten rhubarb in a long time so I'm currently experimenting to see if it agrees with me.
