Death to Courgettes!

Back to the allotment today for the first time in a couple of weeks. Finally ditched the courgette plants as production had effectively finished - the couple of "courgzillas" that had developed went in for composting. Weeding was done, the swedes further thinned and I thought about planting the onions but I lacked the energy and inclination to make a new bed. Lucky, really, as within half an hour of my leaving it started to rain.

I think I'm going to follow brisingamen's example and put cardboard over the ex-potato patch. Time to forage some stuff from work. This and planting has to be done next weekend as the weekend after I'm in Dublin.
