Okay, lesson for life. I'll have to start getting dressed after getting a bath at night. Yep, one of the Brownie mum's has just knocked at the door and I was wearing a towel.
It was after 10pm. You were wearing a towel, and you bothered to open the door and deal with this woman? I'm impressed. At castle drpete I'd have ignored the doorbell, and let rip a stream of four letter invective if they persisted. Then again, most of the unannounced "visitors" we receive at castle drpete are door to door beggars, which tends to make one suspicious of opening the door.
The door-to-door beggars tend to be my neighbours...
I was so shocked that someone was knocking on the door that I just opened it automatically. My thought was that it was going to be one of the workmen who had been in the road all evening digging something up. I was preparing myself for a demand to make tea.
I have no idea what these men where doing, they had an arc light and worked through to midnight.
