Hmmmm.

On the 17th February I placed an order with Original Organics for a wormery. At the time I entered my workplace as the delivery address.

On the 19th February I had an email from them telling me that my order had been dispatched and would be with me in the next few days.

On the 27th February, after giving them a week, I emailed them to tell them there was no evidence that delivery had been attempted. At this point I noticed that the invoice had my home address as the delivery point.

On the 3rd March I emailed them again complaining that I'd had no response to my email.

Just now I've tried to ring them. Nobody is answering the phone. What on earth do I do now?

If you paid by credit card, you contact your card issuer for a refund and let them worry about chasing them.

I know. I really wanted my wormies though but it looks like I'm out of luck.

Is this for at home or on the allotment? Because, if you're willing to think a little laterally, and can construct your own home for them, it's as easy to take a trip to the nearest fishing shop and buy some brandlings or tiger worms. My very wormy compost heap was seeded with the worms that were originally living in my worm bin, which I emptied into it when the bin began to crack after weathering over some years.

Alternatively, I am sure Original Organics (and I see I bought my worm bin from them years back) aren't the only ones. Try this:

My plan was to set up a "junior" wormery at home to save me taking the kitchen scraps up to the allotment. I'm sure I could set up a plastic kitchen bin that would do the same job but I wanted to, y'know, support the little guy. I'm rather peeved that the little guy appears to be acting up.

Yeah, it's annoying when they do that.

I've heard lots of good reports of the Can O'Worms and its ilk, if the others don't come through. My plan, eventually, is to shift major compost production to the allotment and then have something small for kitchen scraps and the Can or something similar was what I had in mind. However, right now, my compost bins in the garden are seriously cooking, and I'm very pleased with them.
